This article will address a personal question from a woman. She has read that the birth control pill can affect Candida, she has been on them since couple months ago and they tried condoms and that just wasn’t for them. It’s just too risky. She can’t use a diaphram, it just hurts way too much. She has thought of the sponge with spermicide but it is so unsexy, So she asked me about other ideas.
I am probably the perfect person to answer your question on this one. The whole world would be such a clearer place, if people would just learn to speak about personal things. I have used the today sponge forever!
I tried a diaphram, and by the time, I finally got it into place. I was totally sore! That was no fun at all, I threw it out. I had a hysterectomy, in 99, so I have never used the today sponge, since it was reintroduced into the market.
I can only speak for the older product. I used the sponge for years and years. I never got pregnant, while using it. As far as it being messy, and hindering lovemaking and kissing all over, that was not a problem
at all. I would just douche, and then moisten the sponge with a bit of water and insert it and then wash as usual.
You would think that the spermacide in it would be creamy and disgusting and inedible, but it is not. You would think it would be thick, too, but it isn’t. If people could only just talk to each other about things, instead of just not saying anything, the world would improve.
